The Bangladesh Cricket Board will pay their players a £130,000 cash bonus after clinching their first overseas Test series victory this week.

Bangladesh wrapped up a historic 2-0 series win over the West Indies with a four-wicket victory in the final Test at Grenada on Monday.

And while the hosts fielded a second-string side due a contractual dispute, BCB president Sina Ibn Jamali feels the result represents a milestone for the team.

"With this win, the Bangladesh Cricket Team has fulfilled the dreams and aspirations of millions," he said in statement.

"Our continuing effort to develop cricket in Bangladesh will gather more momentum through this victory.

"The board is extremely proud of the team's remarkable effort and our best wishes are with you."

Confirming the bonus, he added that it would come in addition to their usual £17,300 win bonus.
